CALLED SAYING HAD 'BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY'

Calls several times during the week, but disconnects immediately after the third ring, apparently trying to avoid an answering machine. Worst part, it calls early on Sunday morning. The caller claims to be doing fund raising for the Cook County Police (Illinois).

He says to have an attorney ready, cannot understand a word he says, his name is Matt Thompson with a foreign heavy accent

We have gotten three calls from this number. The number is located in Mesquite, Nevada. Details are exactly has been described by others on this site. The caller speaks slowly, as if drunk or on drugs, and frequently pauses, so that the only thing to be heard is his breathing. He asks for odd details about our inn and our room, and then repeats his questions after he has run out of things to ask about. He will only talk to our female owner, and has denied he has called in the past, when we know he has. Same voice, same number. Very creepy.

Called me every night for weeks then hung up. Found out that it's a telemarketer. They hang up because these college kids make money by the number of calls that go through, not by selling anything.

They Called and said I had an outstanding loan with 1st cash advance. In calling first cash adavance they said they have no collection of setting up a payment in their system and do not know this company. He even tried to get to buy a prepaid card cuz I told Him I lost my debit card. I also called the 347 number and it just rang. once he called back I told him I tried that number he then said they are having construction work done so it is interferring with the phones. I then told them I am not paying anything my bank is sending a dispute and if you are a real company as you say you are then we'll talk. He just hanged up.

I have had the same experience as so many of you. It is really sad when people and corporations take advantage of a person in this way. Best wishes to all.

they called my job and harassed me and was told that the cops are coming to pick me up because i have not paid my debit ,they been calling for the last eight months and every time they call is some one by a different names ,
